Deacons are responsible for overseeing and participating in the congregation’s ministry to those who are in need, sick, lonely and to any who may be in distress. Deacons also handle other practical concerns and needs of the church such as hospitality, guest follow-up, prayer, shepherding groups, hospital visitation, and communion.
